When were you in Orlando? What conference? I was down there during Halloween weekend for the HACU (hispanic association of colleges and universities) conference. It sounds like you had a great time in Florida. I definately did! I tend to like any hotel at all, as long as the bed is comfortable. I tend to LOVE bed and breakfasts, and they are my go-to resting place when I want a romantic and relaxing weekend.

What a great hotel. I love their focus on being green! I would love to stay in a place like that. But mainly, my concern when I stay in a hotel is that it is clean and quiet. I don't spend a whole lot of time in the hotel itself, so a lot of the extras don't matter to me. But I do like it when there is a gym....I like to get in my workouts when I'm on vacation!

10 rooms in the hotel?!! That's amazing!! I love small boutique hotels and stayed in some fabulous ones while in Norway. And there's nothing like staying in a fancy hotel in NYC!

Girl! Miami is incredible isn't it? I didn't know you went! I'm going to be going back down there to visit my parents for Thanksgiving break. You should come to ;) I'm a warm weather girl too.. that's when I flourish. Ooo and I see you enjoyed a bottle of one my favorite beers.. Stella is so good to me! Everything in Miami just seems so fresh and so clean - lovin' the Art Deco!

Hm... nicest hotel I've stayed in? It's a tie between two! Both were incredibly different. In London I stayed at this one place called The Stakis Hotel. It had an old style elevator, and a beautiful elegant dining hall! Renaissance paintings throughout the intricately molded high ceilings. And every afternoon we were greeted with tea and shortbread cookies in our room. I don't think they exist anymore though. Another neat hotel I stayed at was the Hudson in New York. I'm going to give you a link to that hotel. It was so cool that they even had their own mix cd. You'd walk right past it if you didn't know what to look for (there's no sign out front)

What a fun trip, glad you had a great time! We've been getting more into boutique hotels lately and have been enjoying the customer service and uniqueness (we're staying at one next weekend that is supposed to be very "green", e.g. if you drive a Prius you get free parking). That's awesome Patrick does the trip research - Apolinaras just booked our rental car and was very proud of himself, haha.

What a gorgeous hotel! Looks like you had a blast!
My husband also plans for us, thankfully. He loves researching travel, and I just get the final say. Love it.
I think one of the best hotels I ever stayed in was the Occidental in Aruba for our honeymoon. They treated us so well. I felt like royalty!
