Sweet and Spicy Popcorn!

Hello everybody! Today I am going to write you about this phenomenal recipe. It is quite simple actually but you know how they say “the simpler the better”. So it is movie week here, and there are commercials all over about it.


I was looking at them while I was driving (I always drive safe don’t worry) and I came up with an idea, a memory actually that gave me an idea. I haven’t made this recipe since forever!


I don’t eat much popcorn lately, and when I go to the movies I usually take nachos and I completely forgot about this recipe. It is so unusual in terms of flavors (sweet and spicy) but I like it. You would like it too for sure, I recommend it to try it out. Pleasure guaranteed.

  • 8 to 10 cups plain popped popcorn
  • 3 tablespoons sunflower oil
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • pinch of cayenne pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt


First preheat the oven to 300°F. Than use a small sauce pan to mix and combine the sunflower oil, cinnamon, maple syrup and cayenne pepper over a low heat. Simmer everything for 1 to 2 minutes. After you are done place the popped popcorn into 9*13 – inch baked pan and pour the mixture over the popcorn. Sprinkle salt a little and stir everything to combine. Bake for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. After you are done remove the baking pan from the oven, let it cool completely and then place them in more suitable dishes. We are done here. Enjoy!
