I love soy sauce! I love everything hot and spicy, which is why Asian flavors are my favorite. This recipe is very easy to make and you only need to buy some spicy sauces for that extra flavor, other than that the ingredients are pretty basic. We are talking about super – food here. Quinoa is healthy and delicious. I think everyone should try this recipe out. It is easy to make, at the same time very tasty and cheap. It is a perfect breakfast or lunch. You decide! I usually make quinoa for lunch and it keeps me full till dinner. When I eat quinoa I don’t have the need to consume unhealthy snacks, just so I can fulfill my cravings for salty and spicy food. Quinoa has everything plus is healthy!
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1 cup quinoa
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger root
- 1 clove of minced garlic
- 2 chopped green onions
Use a medium sauce pan to heat the virgin olive oil. Heat it over a medium heat. Stir in quinoa and let it toast for about 2 to 3 minutes, then add the chicken broth, ginger, garlic and soy sauce. Increase the heat until it boils. Cover and then reduce the heat low. Simmer for 25 to 30 minutes until all liquid has been absorbed. Top the quinoa with green onions before serving. We are done!
