They are the most tasteful veggies and this recipe is probably one of the easiest to make. I personally like them because they are delicious, healthy and very low calories.
This recipe is actually from my mother. She used to make them every weekend for me and my brother and we loved them so much. The thing about these healthy sprouts is that you can use the leftovers for days.
Just reheat them and enjoy your healthy snack.
- 1 ½ pounds Brussels sprouts, trimmed and with removed yellow leaves
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- First, preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Now, get a plastic bag and place the trimmed Brussels sprouts, olive oil, salt and pepper in it. Seal it tightly and shake to coat. Pour everything on a baking sheet and place everything in the oven.
- Roast in the oven for 30 to 45 minutes shaking the pan every 5 to 7 minutes for even browning. In time, reduce the heat to prevent burning. They should get dark brown, almost black when they are done. Add salt if you like and serve them immediately.
