Ah…, Healthy Chow has a big appetite and a big heart and she hearts many things…here are some of her favorites (btw, Healthy Chow likes to refer to herself in the third person sometimes
).
- Trader Joe’s
- frozen peas (yep, straight out of the bag! It’s a healthy, quick and yummy snack)
- canned pumpkin (oh Libby, Libby, Libby…what would I do without your delicioso orange fiber in a can?)
- Better n’ Peanut Butter (a whole jar can disappear faster than you can say, “that ain’t Skippy!”)
- my salad spinner (how else are you gonna get crispy kale chips?)
- Laughing Cow Light Swiss cheese wedges (just spread it and forget it!)
- egg whites (out of the carton, preferably. Who doesn’t love a shortcut?)
- Goya Adobo seasoning (sprinkled generously on the aforementioned)
- George Forman Grill (what’s a city living gal supposed to do without an outdoor grill?)
- potato chips (period!)
- sushi (especially unagi)
- individually bagged nuts from Trader Joe’s (how else will you know when to stop eating?)
- yoga
- oatmeal (sweet or savory, it’s like a warm hug for my belly)
- french fries (curly, crinkle cut, steak, shoestring and even on top of a bed of mussels)
- pasta (whole wheat or white – noodles rock!)
- fresh fruit (uh, they call it Mother Nature’s candy for a reason)
- cilantro (to some it can taste like soap, to me it’s just fresh!)
Finally, last but not least…
- Patrick (my husband, my friend, my rock and my soul – I love you!)

Hi, I'm Nicole and welcome to Healthy Chow. My last name is Chow and this is my journey to living a life that is healthy and well-balanced. That being said, I thought Healthy Chow would be an appropriate name for my blog! I love to eat, I'm growing my love to cook and I'm in love with family, yoga and creating my own jewelry. This blog was started as a way to remind myself (and the world) that there isn't just one definition of healthy. We each just need to find our own meaning. Please join me as I find mine.
